Clallam Conservation District

The Clallam Conservation District (CCD) offers many different, voluntary programs to help county landowners conserve natural resources. The CCD covers all of Clallam county, including large tracts of land to city lots, held privately or by government agencies. Conservation districts are nationwide, grassroots conservation agencies. The CCD is governed by a local board of supervisors, elected or appointed, consisting of local residents.

Hood Canal Coordinating Council–Salmon Recovery Plan

The Hood Canal Coordinating Council is a Watershed-Based Council of Governments. It was established in 1985 in response to community concerns about water quality problems and related natural resource issues in the watershed. HCCC's salmon recovery planning includes a summer chum salmon plan and a lead entity program.

Jefferson County Conservation District

The Jefferson County Conservation District promotes maintenance and expansion of economically viable agriculture and the conservation of natural resources by providing technical assistance to landowners, community groups and agencies to protect and improve the natural resources of Jefferson County.

Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee

The Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee is a citizen–based effort to identify regional marine issues, foster community understanding and involvement, recommend positive action and develop support for various protection and restoration measures.

Jefferson Land Trust

Jefferson Land Trust's mission is to help the community to preserve open space, working lands and habitat in east Jefferson County on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. Landowners work with a Land Trust when they wish to permanently protect wetlands, floodplains, farmlands, wildlife corridors, and scenic areas from inappropriate development.

North Olympic Land Trust

The mission of the North Olympic Land Trust is to promote the responsible stewardship of the North Olympic Peninsula"s natural resources for present and future generations through conservation easements.

North Olympic Peninsula Lead Entity Group

The mission of the North Olympic Peninsula Lead Entity is to recover priority salmon habitat from Sequim Bay west through Cape Flattery, and from Cape Flattery south through the Hoh.

Regional Fisheries Enhancement Groups

In 1990, the Washington State Legislature created the Regional Fisheries Enhancement Group Program to involve local communities, citizen volunteers, and landowners in the state"s salmon recovery efforts.

The 14 Regional Fisheries Enhancement Groups (RFEGs) share the unique role of working within their own communities across the state to recover salmon. The RFEGs have a common goal of restoring salmonid populations and habitat to their regions, relying on support in local communities.

Washington State University - Salmon Restoration Resources

WSU President Samuel H. Smith has indicated publicly that WSU faculty and staff are encouraged to assist in anyway possible to the restoration of salmonids in the Pacific Northwest. To that end faculty and staff have been invited to share their areas of interest, expertise, and capabilities.
