Educational Tools NOSC has a ton of great educational tools for use in classrooms and the community! Look below for resources to use today.
FIN, a 25-foot female chum salmon, is part of NOSC's salmon education and outreach program. FIN has her own trailer and is available for rental for festivals, school events, or other public and educational functions. Learn More here! Salmon Habitat Enhancement Activity A great tool has been developed to demonstrate the process of restoring salmon habitat with hands on models. Check out the Enviroscape Nonpoint Source/Runoff Model for a great way to demonstrate stream restoration and salmon habitat enhancement to classes or community groups.
NOSC now has a Salmon Trunk that is available for reservation. This great educational tool helps teach school and other groups about Salmon and the role and importance of the watershed. The trunk includes games, visual aides, books and other display and interactive materials.
