New Staff at NOSC

We are pleased to announce the recent addition of four new hires to our team. We are excited to add their talents to our work, restoring and enhancing salmon habitat on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Kai Wallin, an Alaskan and Port Townsend native, is our new volunteer and outreach coordinator. She is the person to call for volunteer opportunities, especially if you are interested in tree plantings or salmon surveys! She brings to the team a background in environmental education and commercial fishing and has spent much of her life on the water, either by giving whale watching tours to eager tourists in Hawaii or tendering salmon during the summer in Alaska.

Randy, Sarah, Nancy and Kai at the Salmon Creek Restoration Site

Randy Pendergrass, our new financial manager, is responsible for maintaining and improving the financial reporting systems of the organization. Randy comes to us with many years of experience in the field of public administration/accounting and grant management. When not at work, you may see Randy dancing the Argentine tango!

Nancy Erreca, a resident of the Port Townsend area, is our new office manager and financial assistant. In the office, she will be assisting the staff, focusing on helping Randy with grant billing and Rebecca with other managerial duties. She loves to be around the water, with scuba diving and kayaking being some of her favorite maritime activities.

Sarah Doyle, our new AmeriCorps intern, hails to us from Baltimore, Maryland. She will be helping Kai with monitoring, education and outreach activities, as well as assisting other staff around the office. She has already fallen in love with the Olympic peninsula and you will most likely find her walking her dogs at Fort Worden (or maybe her dogs walking her!).

Stop by the office to meet these stellar additions to our crew!
